Claymonster Team
We've made a lot of monsters over the years and we certainly couldn't have done all this on our own. Our studio assistants, volunteers and admins have been a talented group and we send a special thanks out to everyone who has participated.
Here's who is working in the studio today...
Cat Audette Holt
has a very short attention span and when she isn't distracted by chickens, wine making, kids, knitting or gardening, she can be found in the studio throwing on the wheel, attaching eyeballs and arms and driving everyone crazy with quality control. She cares very much about making pottery that is crafted to her highest ability and loves that Claymonsters bring joy to their users. She tries to direct all her perfectionist and obsessive energies into making amazing and fun monster pottery for the world. She also makes really good hot sauce...
Richard Holt
is a full-time professor and head of Ceramics at Towson University, but as the originator of all things Claymonster, he generally puts all his free time into creating whimsical creatures and figurative sculptures. In addition to his unique imagination, Rich’s work is inspired by Tim Burton, clay animation, Pixar and anything goofy.
Arline (Cat's Mom)
is the most awesome helper in the booth. She has attended and helped at every show she could possibly attend. She also cooks ALL the food for Monster of a Show. If you've been to MoaS, you'll know how yummy her food is. We all love Claymonster Mom, Arline! Oh, and she probably has more monsters in her house than all our customers combined. Just ask her, she'll show you lots of photos!
